Dr. Elaine Yap
MBBS(Newcastle upon Tyne, UK), MRCP(UK), FRACP.
Dr. Elaine Yap completed her medical school degree (MBBS) in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK and successfully obtained MRCP (Membership of Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom) in 2010 and FRACP (Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians) in 2021.
Dr. Yap has a wide breath of experience, having trained in the United Kingdom, New South Wales and Melbourne. She trained in the Northern Deanery and Wessex Deanery in the UK before migrating to Australia in 2011 and lived in the Sutherland Shire for 7 years. She trained in Sutherland Hospital, St George Hospital, Wollongong Hospital, Concord Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Monash Health in Melbourne.
Dr. Yap has an interest in academic medicine. She was awarded the title of Research Fellow 2017-2018, University of Sydney. Her Geriatric research project won the Tony Broe award for the best oral presentation in 2021.
Dr. Yap provides a holistic approach to the management of the elderly and strives to maintain the independence and quality of life of the elderly as they age.
Dr. Yap is able to speak 4 languages: English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay.
When Dr. Yap is not working, she enjoys raising her two young children. Her interests include running, hiking, cooking, painting and dancing.
